NHS Dental patients
We are dedicated to providing quality dental care for all and so we greatly value the NHS and all that it represents. We offer dental treatments to care for the teeth and gums of all our patients. Where patients are asked to make a contribution, we make sure that the costs are clear and open to you and we provide finance options to help manage payments.
Private Dental patients
Some patients are not eligible for NHS treatment, and cosmetic forms of dental treatments such as teeth whitening are not eligible under the NHS. The level of care and your well-being as a private dental patient is still our top priority.

General dentistry treatments available in Berinsfield
We offer a wide range of dental treatments. Some of these are cosmetic which will improve the look of your teeth. Some are more general and will look after your oral health. Examples of general dentistry treatments include:
- Regular Check-Up. At the heart of what we do is looking after your teeth and gums. A general check-up will review the health of your teeth and gums to ensure you are healthy. Your regular check-ups should be scheduled for every 6 to 12 months according to your dentist’s advice. We will also use this general appointment to ensure the prevention of issues such as tooth decay and gum disease.
- Fillings. Fillings are used to treat tooth decay and prevent further damage or decay occurring. On the NHS dental service, dental fillingsare available as the amalgam or traditional silver fillings. Some patients opt to pay privately to have white fillings which are tooth coloured and look far more discreet. Your dentist will numb the affected area with a local anaesthetic and then prepare the tooth using a fine drill. The filling will then be applied to your tooth and bonded to the enamel using a special form of putty. This ensures that the filling remains in place. The entire process takes about 30 minutes.
- Tooth extractions. If you have a failing tooth or if you need to have your tooth removed for dental work including orthodontic treatment or dental implants, your dentist will remove your tooth using a local anaesthetic so that you do not feel a thing.
- Root Canal. When tooth decay isn’t treated with a filling, the blood or nerve supply to the tooth can become infected, it can be extremely painful. We remove all the infection from the root canal to prevent the spread of infection. This is carried out by a fine drill that entering the root via your tooth. The root is then filled and sealed to stop the problem from occurring again. You will be given a local anaesthetic to numb the area.
- Periodontics. This area of dentistry looks specifically at the health of your teeth and gums and the diseases and conditions affecting these areas. For many patients, this will involve general hygiene and cleaning to ensure the prevention or treatment of gum disease. Other common areas which periodontics treat are dental implants – the permanent replacement for missing teeth.
- Dental emergencies. We understand that a dental emergency can be frightening so we will aim to see you within 24 hours of calling. Whether you have a chipped tooth, abscess or painful toothache, we can help.
- Hygienist. Your hygienist will look specifically at your dental hygiene and the health of your gums. The main aim is to prevent and treat gum disease.
